What is a shrine?
The Code of Canon Law, Article 1230, states, "The term shrine signifies a church or other sacred place to which the faithful make pilgrimages for a particular pious reason with the approval of the local ordinary." The distinguishing mark of a shrine is that it is a place to which the faithful make pilgrimages.
What are the Mass & Confession Times?
Confessions are at Monday thru Saturday from 11:00 am to noon.
Weekday Masses are at Monday thru Saturday at 12:00 noon.
Sunday Masses are at 11:00 am and 12:30 pm.
What time is the Administration Office open?
The administration offices are open Monday – Friday 9 am to 3 pm.
What are the Gift Shop Hours?
The Gift Shop is open
Monday – Friday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
and on Sundays 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
What time are the grounds open and closed?
The grounds are open from sunrise to sunset.
What time is the Mary Help of Christians Shrine Chapel open?
The Mary Help of Christians Shrine Church is open daily from 8 am until 4:30 pm, and longer in the summer.
Can I have an item blessed and where do I go?
Yes, come to the administration offices (in the same building as the Gift Shop). If a priest is available, he will bless your items. You can also call ahead to be sure a priest is available at (845) 947-2200
How do I have a Mass said for a loved one who is sick/deceased?
To request a Mass intention, call the administration office at (845) 947-2200, ext. 302. Announced Masses (posted on the bulletin board and the intention announced at the beginning of Mass) are $20 and unannounced masses are $15. The number of announced Masses are limited and should be requested a few months in advance.
Do you rent the gym or the fields?
Yes. Contact Ann at (845) 947-2200, ext. 313, to discuss availability and pricing.
How do I make a donation to the shrine?
Your support is important to our work at the shrine and we are always grateful for it. There are several ways you can make a contribution. Click here to donate online. You can also mail your donation to Marian Shrine, 174 Filors Lane, Stony Point, NY 10980. Thank you for your support!
How do I know when events are being held at the Marian Shrine?
The best way to know about all the events at the Marian Shrine is to sign up for Flocknote. Go to marianshrine.flocknote.com to register. Once you join Flocknote, you will receive an email with a calendar about upcoming events at the Marian Shrine.

There are also printed flyers in the Shrine Church and the Gift Shop.
Do you sell food and concessions?
Currently, the Shrine does not have food service or concessions. We do provide food service for designated retreats and special events. Visitors are welcome to bring food and refreshment to the Shrine utilizing the picnic areas. Please notify the Administration at (845) 947-2200 if your group consists of 15 or more persons.
